For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. -Jeremiah 29:11-12 (NIV)
This verse keeps coming to mind this morning and I have a feeling it will be a good reminder in the coming months as we set out to find ministry partners who are willing to support us in prayer and financially. Jen and I just spent the last two weeks learning A LOT about partner development, spiritual formation, and the general tools and techniques we will be using in the coming months to achieve this goal. We’ve made some new friends and grew close in 2 short weeks as we shared the stress of a looming interview, helped each other with phone techniques, presentations, one-on-one discussions, team communication, and a whole bunch of other things. In short, God has stretched us over the last two weeks. And it helps to remember that He does have a plan for us to thrive. Especially as we are descending into Boston on our return flight from Detroit and will begin to figure out how to add partner development to our regularly scheduled chaos :). So I look forward to seeing what God does in us–and in those we encounter along the way over the next two to two and a half years.
Lord, I’m yours. Help me grow in whatever way you need me to. AMEN
